Prepare the butter, because this bread doesn't need more/Nimrod Saunders, styling - Yael Magen
Baking at home can be extraordinarily relaxing - the kneading, the rest during the rising time and of course the final result because there is nothing more perfect than warm bread that comes out of the oven when you know that you are responsible for it from the ground up.
But, and this is a big but, baking at home is stressful for many.
What if the bread doesn't work out?
Will he grow properly?
That's exactly why Shahar and Oren take you step by step, on the way to the perfect square.
Ingredients:
A cup and a half of lukewarm water (250 ml)
4 cups of bread flour (560 grams)
A teaspoon of dry yeast (5 grams)
heaped teaspoon of salt (8 grams)
Instructions:
1
.
Put the water and yeast in a mixer bowl and let them stand for a few minutes, until they dissolve in the water.
2.
Add the flour and salt and start kneading slowly for 3 minutes.
3.
Increase the speed to high for another 5 minutes until the dough is uniform and separates from the sides.
4.
Flour a bowl and transfer the dough, cover and let it rise for an hour (on days like this it is best in a heated room with air conditioning).
5.
Open the dough into a rectangle.
Fold in three, twist, and roll into a square shape.
6.
We will lightly pinch the sides so that the entire surface area is smooth.
7.
Let it swell for another hour and heat the oven to 250 degrees.
8.
Knead the dough gently, sprinkle water from all directions and put it in the oven, and immediately after that lower the heat to 200 degrees.
9.
Bake for 30 minutes.
We know it's hard to resist, but give the bread a few minutes outside before slicing it.
