You need these ingredients for the Rösti casserole:

  • 20g butter

  • 100 g onions, diced

  • 150 g bacon cubes

  • 200g crème fraîche

  • 2 tbsp mustard

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 0.5 tsp pepper

  • 200 g grated cheese

  • 1 kg potatoes, grated

  • On top:

  • 100 g grated cheese

  • Herb quark

  • Chives, chopped

Preparing the casserole is quickly explained:

  • Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat.

  • Melt butter in a pan.

    Then fry the onions and bacon cubes in it for two minutes.
