, Kensington Palace has officially confirmed the news: Kate Middleton will finally be able to count on the support of a new private secretary named Tom White.
It had been almost a year since the princess had been looking for a replacement for Hannah Cockburn-Logie, who left her post in October 2022. Considered a war hero after distinguishing himself for his exploits in Afghanistan, the man is continuing his career within the monarchy for almost three years.
Indeed, he is the former equerry of Queen Elizabeth II.
For his new role with Prince William's wife, he will, among other things, have to manage the organization of her institutional agenda.
A great support for someone who has been recovering for several weeks after her operation last January.

The Royal Marines
At 36 years old, Tom White has already built a brilliant reputation for himself.
It was at just 20 years old that he joined the Royal Marines, a service of the Royal Navy, the maritime army of the United Kingdom.
Two years later, he joined the field in Afghanistan.
In March 2009, he foiled an attempted attack in a school in Helmand, a province located in the southwest of the country, thus saving dozens of lives.
Explosives had in fact been hidden in one of the classrooms by the Taliban.
“It makes you nauseous to think about what could have happened.
These people could have blown up a large number of children and they don't care, they don't value life,” he told the press, as reported by
Vanity Fair
.
Considered a war hero by his peers, he later became a lieutenant colonel.
In 2020, Tom White finally joined Buckingham Palace as an equerry to Queen Elizabeth II.
After accompanying her until her death in September 2022, at the age of 96, he was able to acquire the trust of the members of the Crown.
It is therefore quite natural that Kate Middleton, without a private secretary since the resignation “for personal reasons” of Hannah Cockburn-Logie, in October 2022, called on him.
After a first try in November 2023, the man has just been officially hired to manage the public and personal lives of George's mother, Charlotte and Louis.
The latter underwent a scheduled abdominal operation at the London Clinic on January 16.
Having been convalescing since then, she should return to her duties for the Easter holidays.

For their part, royal fans are already delighted with this new recruit.
