Bitcoin surpasses $57,000 for the first time since late 2021 supported by investor demand as well as further purchases by MicroStrategy.
The digital currency gained as much as 4.4% to $57,039 before paring the jump and trading at $56,085 in London.
The price of Bitcoin has increased by 32% since the beginning of the year, extending the rally fueled - Bloomberg notes - also by the speculative appetite for smaller tokens such as Etere and Dogemoneta.
