The CGIL will take to the streets on Saturday 9 March in Rome "for the ceasefire, to prevent the genocide, to guarantee humanitarian assistance to the population of Gaza, to free the hostages and prisoners, the end of the occupation, the recognition of the state of Palestine on the basis of the UN resolutions and the organization of an international conference for peace and justice in the Middle East".
A mobilization "in defense of the right to demonstrate, strike and freedom of association".
The CGIL reiterates "deep disapproval and democratic concern for the violent attacks by the police on student demonstrations".
