"These are historic dates: we have the first female president of the Sardinia region and the first regional president of the M5s", said Giuseppe Conte during the brief meeting with journalists together with the secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein and Alessandra Todde, now almost officially governor of Sardinia.
"It's the first time that the movement has a regional president - underlines the former prime minister -. A great job has been done, from the political to the civic forces, to develop a serious project, credible for the citizens. I'm really very happy".
"Obviously, and also in a future perspective, it makes us think that when there is a serious project, there is work with the communities, such surprising results can be obtained compared to expectations", he added.
From Sardinia to Rome does the wide field continue?
"This is a fair field", concludes the five-star president with a smile.
