Francesco Fera rises to the top of the Italian Medicines Agency (Aifa), taking over, as acting, from the resigning president Giorgio Palù.
The new AIFA Regulation, in fact, provides that in the event of the president's absence or impediment, the member of the Board of Directors appointed by the Ministry of Health, Francesco Fera, will temporarily take over the functions.
Sources from the Ministry of Health confirmed this to ANSA.
Fera is currently director of the complex administrative management area structure of the strategic regional agency for health and social care (Aress) of Puglia.
