Not at all, because for some people the seasonal winter burger with hash browns, bacon and lots of cheese is just as much a part of the cold season as the annual ski holiday.
With the creative recipe from Simply Tasty for the Big Rösti casserole, you can bring the taste of the popular burger to the Alpine pasture and at the same time conjure up a hearty feel-good dish that goes perfectly with a cozy evening in the hut.

You only need a few ingredients for the Big Rösti casserole:
Cheesesauce:
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
250 ml milk
150 g processed cheese
2 slices of sliced cheese
Big Rösti casserole:
800 g ground beef
6 slices (150 g) sliced cheese
6 rösti wedges, frozen
120 g bacon, sliced

Preparation is easy thanks to these step-by-step instructions:
Preheat oven to 200 °C fan oven.
For the cheese sauce:
Melt the butter in a saucepan, stir in the flour and fry until light for a minute.
Add milk while stirring and bring to a boil.
Stir in the processed cheese and two slices of sliced cheese.
Put aside.
For the Big Rösti casserole:
Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and knead well.
Distribute the minced meat evenly on the bottom of a baking dish.
Place slices of cheese on the minced meat and place frozen rösti wedges on top of the cheese.
Pour cheese sauce onto the casserole and finish with bacon slices.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes until the minced meat is cooked through and the hash browns are crispy.
