Putin's spokesman, Dmitri Peskov, said that a direct military conflict between NATO and Russia would be "inevitable" if soldiers from Western countries were to be sent to Ukraine.
Tass reports it.
"In this case, we should not talk about probability, but about inevitability, and this is how we evaluate it," Peskov said, according to the official Russian news agency, responding to a question about how the Kremlin assesses the probability of a direct conflict between NATO and the Russia in case of sending Western troops to Ukraine.
