stopped the creation of
five national universities that had been created by law
.
These are the national universities of Del Delta, Pilar, Ezeiza, Río Tercero and Madres de Plaza de Mayo.
In the case of the University of Ezeiza, it has existed for some time in the orbit of the Province of Buenos Aires and the representative Victoria Tolosa Paz promoted the project so that it becomes a National University.
"Given reasons of compliance with the provisions of current laws, of avoiding duplication and overlapping of hierarchical structures and of guaranteeing that the educational offer meets the due quality and relevance, it is necessary to adopt measures aimed at reviewing the beginning of academic activities of the aforementioned Houses of Higher Studies", indicates the resolution that was known this Tuesday.
And he adds that with this decision he seeks to "determine whether the administrative procedure required by the Higher Education Law to create new universities was duly complied with, whether the conditions established therein were really satisfied and are duly documented, and whether the relevance, opportunity and foresight of the corresponding budget credit, based on a feasibility study, endorsed the initiative.
The approval by law of the new study houses was in September of last year.
The creation of the National University of Río Tercero, which was proposed by deputies Gabriela Estévez (FdT) and Gabriela Brower de Koning (Evolución Radical) garnered the votes of both the ruling party and the opposition in the Senate.
The National University of Delta, an initiative presented by the former Minister of Economy and former presidential candidate of Unión por la Patria, Sergio Massa when he was still a national deputy, and which provides coverage in the municipalities of Tigre, San Fernando and Escobar.

"Establish the review process for the creation and initiation of academic activities of the new national university institutions in order to determine effective compliance with the procedure for their creation and objective operation," reads the first article of the ministerial resolution, which leaves the review in the hands of the Secretary of Education, the former ministry.
