The UK has no intention of sending troops to Ukraine, at least not "on a large scale".
Rishi Sunak's government clarified this today by responding indirectly to the hypothesis put forward by French President Emmanuel Macron on the possibility of a European military presence on the ground, in the former Soviet country, with a view to containing Russia.
London has so far always maintained that it limited itself to sending military instructors or advisors to Ukraine, denying any involvement at the front despite reports of the presence of Western "volunteers" among Kiev's troops.
