The low turnout registered yesterday (Tuesday) showed that the people of Israel were probably a little less interested in the local elections and more in shopping and purchases, but there were some people for whom it was a particularly exciting and significant day.

who ran for mayor of Tel Aviv and waited with anticipation to see not only if she would be the next mayor's wife, but also if his promise to pull out a ring if elected would come true.
Unfortunately for the two of them (and for the rest of his voters), Zellner only finished in third place and the one who was elected as mayor and will continue to serve in his position is Ron Huldai.
