They got married on May 18, 2019 and would have celebrated their wooden wedding in 3 months.
But Lady Gabriella, daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, cousin of Elizabeth II, is today a widow.
According to the British press, Buckingham Palace announced the death of her husband, Thomas Kingston, on February 27.
“The King and Queen have been informed of the death of Thomas and join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all those who knew him in mourning a much loved member of the family,” said the statement released by the Palace.
Their Majesties send their most sincere thoughts and prayers in particular to Gabriella and the entire Kingston family.”

A second press release was also published by the Palace in the names of Lady Gabriella, Martin and Jill Kingston, the deceased's parents, and his sisters Joanna Connolly and Emma Murray.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother.
Tom was an exceptional man who brightened the lives of all who knew him.
His death has been a great shock to the entire family, and we ask that you respect our privacy as we mourn his passing.”
A sudden death
The circumstances of Thomas Kingston's death are not yet known.
However, it is known that his death occurred on Sunday in Gloucestershire and that emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 6 p.m.
The causes of his death are not believed to be suspicious and no other person is believed to be involved.
But if the death of Thomas Kensington is such a “big shock” for his family it is because it was unexpected.
The British financier was only 45 years old.
Two weeks earlier, for Valentine's Day, he had even attended, with his wife and Queen Camilla, an event in honor of Shakespeare.
Hours before news of Thomas Kingston's death was made public, Lady Gabriella's parents, Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family gathered at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle to commemorate another late King Constantine of Greece.
He died last year and was the godfather of Lady Gabriella and Prince William.
The latter did not attend the ceremony in honor of his godfather for “personal reasons”.
