  • 250 g wheat flour

  • 1 tsp dry yeast

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 100 ml milk, lukewarm

  • 100g yogurt

  • 0.5 tsp salt

  • 2 tablespoons butter or ghee, melted

The preparation is easy and quick:

  • Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the lukewarm milk and let it rest for five minutes.

  • Put the flour in a bowl and knead together with the salt, yogurt and yeast milk to form a smooth dough.

  • Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour until the dough has doubled in volume.

  • After the rising time, divide the dough into 6 equal pieces.

Roll out each piece of dough on a lightly floured work surface into a thin flat cake.

  • Heat a pan without fat.

Place the flatbreads in one at a time and turn them after about a minute as soon as the dough starts to bubble.

Turn over and finish baking on the other side.

  • Spread the baked naan flatbreads with melted butter or ghee and serve.
