The four teaching unions that are part of the CGT announced a strike for this Monday, March 4, due to the failure of the joint negotiations.

These are UDA (Union of Argentine Teachers), AMET (Association of Technical Teaching Teachers), SADOP (Argentine Union of Private Teachers) and CEA (Confederation of Argentine Educators), minorities in the educational environment.

In addition, this afternoon Ctera would speak out, which already carried out a strike last Monday, with little support.

"Yesterday we had a meeting without answers on the issues. The Secretary of Education has little autonomy, he did not make contributions in the joint meeting," said Sergio Romero, head of UDA, who questioned the figure of Carlos Torrendel.

"At one point, the Government denied that scope of equality, and unfortunately forced us, we want the students to go to schools. This forces us to take measures, we are not responsible, it is the responsibility of the National State for lack of attention. That is why we are to hold a National Strike for Monday the 4th," added Romero, at the press conference at the CGT in which Pablo Moyano was present.

UDA, SADOP, AMET and CEA had already called for a strike at the beginning of the school year, although they later deactivated it.

It is expected that in the next few hours Ctera will speak out, which this Wednesday is holding a plenary session of general secretaries from across the country to analyze "measures of force."

It occurs one day after the first meeting to establish the national teachers' partnership, which took place on Tuesday afternoon at the Ministry of Labor.

At that meeting, the Government confirmed the end of the National Teacher Incentive Fund (Fonid), one of the main points of its conflict with the unions and also the cause of sparks with the governors.

In addition, an interim period was called until Tuesday the 5th, indicated Sonia Alesso, general secretary of Ctera.

Roberto Baradel, Angélica Graciano, Juan Monserrat and Fabián Peccín also participated in the meeting in Trabajo.

In this Wednesday's plenary session the situation will be evaluated and "continuity will be given to the fight plan established by Ctera in its Congress on February 22."
