Two dead migrants and four serious health conditions among the 57 rescued yesterday by the German NGO ship Sea Eye 4 in Sar Maltese international waters.
The Maltese authorities picked up one of the 4 by helicopter and transported him to Malta.
The harbor master's patrol boat 327 came to the rescue as it was unable to tranship due to the prohibitive sea conditions.
The Sea Eye 4 was accompanied to the commercial pier of Lampedusa where it docked at around 6am and where it disembarked the three Bangladeshis who were ill and who were immediately taken to the clinic.
The doctors will establish whether it will be necessary to arrange for their hospitalization and, if necessary, make the transfer with the 118 air ambulance. The hotspot of the largest of the Pelagian islands is currently empty
