The Supreme Court has decided to hear arguments on Donald Trump's immunity in the case in which he is accused by special prosecutor Jack Smith of wanting to subvert the 2020 elections, thus further delaying the federal trial.
The highest American court has scheduled hearings for the week starting April 22.
This is the second time that the Supreme Court has become involved in proceedings against the former president.
At the beginning of the month, in fact, the nine wise men listened to the arguments for and against the exclusion of Trump from the elections by virtue of the 14th amendment which provides for it in case of "participation in or incitement to an insurrection".
