  • 3 eggs

  • 500 g low-fat quark

  • 250 g wholesome oat flakes

  • 250 g tender oat flakes

  • 1 packet of baking powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp bread seasoning (optional)

  • 1 tbsp crunchy oat flakes, for sprinkling

The preparation is simple and quick:

  • Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat.

  • Mix eggs and quark in a bowl until creamy.

    Add the hearty and tender oat flakes, baking powder, salt and bread spice and knead everything into a dough.

  • Divide the dough into two parts and carefully shape it into two long rolls on the work surface, each about 25-30 centimeters long.

    Place these on a baking tray lined with baking paper and flatten slightly to create an oval shape.

    Then cut lightly with a sharp knife and sprinkle with the remaining crunchy oat flakes.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes.

    The bread is ready when the dough no longer sticks when pierced with a toothpick or thin knife.
