In recent months, there has been an increase in the waves of anti-Semitism around the world, among other things against the background of the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The increase in anti-Semitism is felt in many countries, including the United Kingdom, which led British Prime Minister

Rishi Sonk

to announce last Wednesday funding for the defense of the Jewish communities at a cost of 54 million pounds, after the number of anti-Semitic incidents in the United Kingdom reached a peak last year.

As part of the fight against the rise of anti-Semitism, today (Thursday) the British Crown Prince

William

made a particularly important and significant visit to the Western Marble Arch Synagogue in London, met with activists fighting anti-Semitism, heard from students who experienced anti-Semitism and met with young people taking part in the "Lessons from Auschwitz" project of the Education Fund In memory of the Holocaust.

Another important meeting that the prince had was with 94-year-old Holocaust survivor Renee Solt, from whom he heard her story.

The British Royal House uploaded a post to the Instagram page of the Crown Prince and his wife,

Kate Middleton

, who due to her medical condition was not present at the visit with him, and published photos from the meeting including photos of the Prince wearing a kippah as is customary in synagogues.

Attached to the post it is written: "A visit to the Western Marble Arch Synagogue this morning to see and hear about the invaluable work of the Holocaust Remembrance Education Fund in combating the most alarming increase in anti-Semitism in Britain. To hear from students and young people who have experienced anti-Semitism, and to meet with young ambassadors from all backgrounds and religions who took part in the flagship project 'Lessons' from Auschwitz. I was honored to meet with Holocaust survivor Renee Salt, who is a living example of the tragic consequences of anti-Semitism that was allowed to go unchecked."
