Fruit of his union with the top model Irina Shayk, the child now aged 6 years old.
And if the feeling of fatherhood is now “obvious”, he relates that this was not the case at the beginning and that it took “eight months to really love him”.

Bradley Cooper is one of those fathers who wonder about the notion of paternity when their child is born.
Thus, he explains that he did not understand during the first months after the birth of his daughter in March 2017, why parents said they were “ready to die for their children”.
Then to clarify: “He [the baby] fascinated me, I loved taking care of him, but would I die in his place if someone came in with a weapon?”
But, fortunately these considerations were in fact only fleeting: “The first eight months, I don't even know if I really loved him and then suddenly it's no longer a question at all,” says the star of

.
Feelings that evolved as her child grew: “It’s great.
It's cool.
I watch this being transform.”
He admits shortly after that he has since tried to be a better person in order to “do as little harm as possible to [his] daughter”.
The one who is now in a relationship with the model Gigi Hadid seems to have found fulfillment as a father, even going so far as to mention being "not sure of still being alive if [he] had not ] not been a father", because according to him he had a pressing need for such a change in life: "Because this is what will dictate everything you do from now on. Your DNA will tell you that it “There’s something more important than you.”
