The government of Colombia has announced that the National Liberation Army (ELN) has released all 26 people kidnapped by the guerrillas in exchange for ransom and still held hostage.

"During the fifth round of the peace negotiations held in Mexico, the national government handed over to the ELN a list of 26 people kidnapped according to the monitoring and verification mechanism. Today we can affirm that none of these people are hostages anymore", wrote the chief negotiator for the government, Vera Grabe, in a publication
