A maxi tricolor braid in honor of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, who today inaugurated the new west wing of the Royal Palace of Caserta.
It is the tribute from the Consortium for the Protection of Bufalacampana PDO mozzarella for the Head of State.
The braid, weighing 3 kilos, was obtained with 12 liters of fresh Italian Mediterranean buffalo milk and was wrapped in a ribbon with a tricolor rosette.
The tribute was put on display in the "corridor of excellence", desired by the management of the Royal Palace of Caserta: a journey of knowledge and tasting of the symbolic products of the territory, set up specifically for the visit of Mattarella and the other authorities.
"We are proud of the arrival of President Mattarella, to whom I express a profound sense of gratitude for the high magisterium that his leadership represents for the country", commented the president of the Consortium, Domenico Raimondo.
"The Consortium for the Protection of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP - he added - has its headquarters in the Royal Cavallerizze of the Royal Palace of Caserta, by virtue of a unique agreement of its kind between the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Agriculture, aimed at underlining the strong alliance necessary between excellence of Made in Italy. Our supply chain represents the custodian of a centuries-old agricultural and artisan tradition, which has one of its highest expressions in this territory. But above all the buffalo supply chain has a positive social and economic impact in a complex land, often the target of exploitation, but which instead with courage he was able to overcome critical moments. For all of us, therefore, Mattarella's visit today represents an indelible injection of confidence and gives us new life to look to the future".
