Preparing crispy fried potatoes is easy thanks to these step-by-step instructions:

  • Wash the potatoes and cook in boiling salted water for about 20 minutes (depending on size and variety) until cooked through.

Drain, peel and let cool completely.

Then cut into slices about one centimeter thick.

  • Fry the bacon in a large pan without fat until crispy.

Add onions and sauté until translucent.

    Remove and set aside.

  • Heat clarified butter in the frying pan and add potato slices to the pan.

Fry over medium heat for ten minutes until golden brown, turning gently every three to four minutes.

  • Add the bacon and onions again and season everything generously with salt and pepper.

  • Zack – done!

  • Easy Tasty Tip:

Patience is important when preparing particularly good fried potatoes.

Therefore, when frying over medium heat, do not turn the potatoes too often so that they can become crispy on the underside.
