"Egypt strongly condemns Israel's inhuman attack against unarmed Palestinian civilians who were awaiting the arrival of humanitarian aid trucks north of the Gaza Strip, which led to a large number of victims and injuries": this was stated in a note from the ministry of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry defining the action as "a clear violation of the provisions of international law and international humanitarian law, as well as a total contempt for the value of the human person".
