Emilia-Romagna moves forward on the end of life and strengthens the resolution with which it establishes that it is the Regional Committee for Clinical Ethics (Corec) that gives the opinion on requests for medically assisted suicide by those who find themselves in the conditions established by the Constitutional Court.
The Territorial Ethics Committees (CET) recalled by the National Bioethics Committee as a possible body called upon to express themselves, explains the Region, are not a necessary choice "where there are specific bodies for ethics in the clinic, as happens in Emilia-Romagna".
The Council approved an ad hoc supplementary act which makes this explicit.
