On average in 2023, there was a growth in the turnover index of service companies of 3.9%, a marked slowdown compared to the previous two years.
Istat communicates this, indicating that a strong difference remains between the sectors.
Growth during the year was particularly robust in sectors linked to tourism and the motor vehicle trade, while a sharp decline was recorded in warehousing and transport support activities.
In the fourth quarter of 2023, the seasonally adjusted services turnover index increased by 1.0% compared to the previous quarter;
the raw index rises by 2.4% in annual terms.
