The Rome-Pescara is "a work of strategic importance for two Regions but for the whole of Central Italy, because it will allow us to contribute to bridging the infrastructural gap that exists today between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Adriatic".
Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said this while speaking at Cipess and announcing that "the government has identified the resources necessary for the realization of the work. Today we are allocating those resources, drawing on the 2021-2027 Development and Cohesion Fund. We will cover all the financing needed (620 million, ed) and we also ensure additional coverage of 100 million, which should have been awarded by 2023".
