Preparations are underway to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Michelin Italy guide.
The central moment is in November, when the new Stars of Italian catering will be revealed.
In the spring, however, the Italian selection of hotels that will be awarded the Michelin Key for the first time will be revealed, a new recognition presented in October 2023 and which will make its debut this year in 8 countries, including Italy.
The recognition, underlines Michelin, was created with the aim of highlighting to users structures with an extraordinary style and full of personality, "as well as great comfort and level of service".
In announcing the 70th anniversary of the Italian edition of the Guide, Michelin recalls that the Michelin Green Star was born in 2020, a recognition designed to point out to readers sensitive to the topic the most virtuous and active restaurants in terms of sustainability, but also with the objective of increasing attention around "this element in the catering sector": from the self-production of raw materials to the support of local producers, through the training of young people, the adoption of solutions to reduce energy impact and waste food, up to initiatives to support the territory and society.
