The Lakers' victory in the Los Angeles derby with the Clippers, Denver's victory over Sacramento and Minnesota's umpteenth season victory are among the most impactful results among the matches played last night in the NBA championship.
With his team trailing by 21 points at the start of the final quarter, LeBron James changed gear and by scoring 19 points in 12 minutes (of a total of 34) kicked off the comeback which ended 116-112 for the yellow and purple.
“The game isn't over until there are only zeros on the clock,” commented James.
The Lakers are now ninth in the West, while the Clippers are fourth (37-20).
In Denver there was a duel between triple double specialists, Nikola Jokic and Domantas Sabonis and it was the Nuggets with the Serbian champion who prevailed 117-96 over the Kings, without point guard De'Aaron Fox, injured.
With 14 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists, Jokic recorded his 19th triple-double of the season, his fourth in a row.
Stop for Sabonis (13 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists), who had just made three.
Third in the West, the Nuggets have their fourth consecutive victory.
Another star, Luka Doncic, celebrated his 25th birthday with a triple-double (30 points, 11 rebounds, 16 assists) in the Mavericks' 136-125 win in Toronto.
