Poste Italiane closes the 2023 financial year with revenues up 5.4% to 12 billion euros, "with a solid contribution from payments and financial services", a net profit of 1.9 billion euros (+22.1% ) and a record Ebit of 2.62 billion (+9.4%), more than doubled compared to the 2017 level and in line with the 2023 guidance of 2.60 billion, a break-even ahead of the guidance, achieved by the mail, parcel and distribution business unit, with revenues of €3.7 billion in 2023, up 2.6% on an annual basis.
The group announced this by releasing the preliminary results and proposing a growing dividend of 0.80 euros per share, for a total amount of dividends for 2023 of one billion (+23%).
In financial services, revenues amounted to 5.2 billion euros, with invested financial assets equal to 581 billion, supported by retail net collections of over 1.2 billion, while payments and mobile revenues grew by 27%, 5% on an annual basis and equal to 1.41 billion in 2023, explains Poste.
As regards the Poste Energia offer, to date it has recorded over 500 thousand contracts signed.
Total costs in 2023 are equal to 9.41 billion, up 4.3% on an annual basis, including a payment of 133 million euros as a one-off bonus for employees, explains Poste.
