'But it's nonsense to say that we want to attack Europe' (ANSA)


 "We too have weapons capable of reaching your territories."

President Vladimir Putin said this while addressing the West.

“They tried to fight Russia in the past, but now the consequences will be very bad.”

Putin added, saying that it is "nonsense" to say that Moscow wants to attack Europe.

"Everything the West is devising really leads to the threat of a conflict with nuclear weapons and therefore the annihilation of civilization", he added, accusing the West of "trying to drag" Moscow "into an arms race" that worn out.

“We understand that the West is trying to drag us into an arms race, wearing us out and repeating the trick they pulled off in the 1980s with the Soviet Union.

In the conflict in Ukraine, Russian forces used two types of hypersonic missiles: the Kinzhal, launched from aircraft, and the Zirkon, launched from ships.
