"I prefer to see tight clothes that flatter the body," said Hilfiger, "I think they look terrible on women. I prefer to see tighter clothes that flatter the female body. Something more sculpted and a little tight in the hips," he added.

Hilfiger's statements, made at a charity event in honor of his wife, provoked much criticism on social networks.

Surfers condemned Hilfiger for his interference in women's fashion choices, claiming that he has no right to impose his personal opinion on clothing style.
