SERIES.
A thriller of the most beautiful waters
“Broadchurch”, at 9:05 p.m., on Chérie 25.
It’s never too late to (re)discover “Broadchurch”, a magnificent British detective series.
In the small town that gives its name to the fiction, young Daniel Latimer, 11 years old, was found lifeless on the beach, at the foot of a cliff.
An immense cliff which is oppressive when you observe it from below, which makes you dizzy when you travel along its edges.
Moreover, the series does not hesitate to provoke retching by drawing the viewer into its stormy twists and turns where each character gradually reveals their secrets.
A constant back and forth of false leads that keeps you in suspense until the final outcome.
Because, in Broadchurch, Daniel's death is an upheaval from which no one will emerge unscathed.
Not even detective Alec Hardy, freshly arrived and therefore foreign to the community of residents.
His interpreter, the brilliant David Tennant, is poignant.
Hardy, a man washed by a dark past, with a faded appearance, plunges headlong into this new challenge, with the determination of those who have nothing left to lose.
