It is well known that women go through menopause.
What signs appear in men as they age and what symptoms this is associated with.

Around a third of men go through a hormonal phase between the ages of around 45 and 60, which is also commonly referred to as andropause (from the Greek: anér = man; pausis = end) and which corresponds to the menopause in women.
However, the hormonal changes in men usually do not occur to anywhere near the extent that occurs in the female body.
Women's menopause is a physiologically measurable phenomenon that is characterized, among other things, by the end of menstruation.
“Women experience a very sudden and severe decline in the sex hormone estrogen.
The male sex hormone testosterone, on the other hand, only reduces very gradually.
“So there is no sudden decline in men,” says Professor Dr.

“Menopause as we know it in women does not exist in men.
“Nevertheless, men come to my consultation with sometimes very similar symptoms such as lack of drive and strength, fatigue, loss of sexual desire and the like,” summarizes Dr.
Finally, Frank Sommer.
If men notice certain signs that could indicate falling testosterone levels, they should not be afraid to visit a “men’s doctor” or andrologist.
This is also important in the course of early cancer detection examinations of the prostate.
