The body recovered a short while ago in the Bacchiglione river is that of Alberto Pittarello, the 39-year-old who stabbed his wife, Sara Buratin, to death three days ago in Bovolenta.
The confirmation comes from the Carabinieri of Padua.
The recognition was made at the morgue by the family.
According to what has been learned, no traces of wounds were found on his body and the hypothesis is that he died by drowning.
However, the autopsy will clarify the cause of death.
In the early afternoon the fire brigade divers had recovered a body inside the van which ended up in the Bacchiglione two days ago.
The recovery of the van had presented more than one difficulty due to the flooding of the river which made the work of the divers complicated.
