In Oslo Lisa Vittozzi won the individual biathlon world cup for the third time in her career, the second in a row, with a 10-point advantage over the first of her pursuers, Ingrid Tandrevold.
The Italian from Sappada came fourth in the 15 km individual with a delay of 51"2 on the winner, Ingrid Tandrevold, followed by Elvira Oeberg (2 errors and 28"8 behind) and Ida Lien (1 error and 32" behind ).
It wasn't an easy match for Vittozzi, who started with a lot of confidence, but then made two mistakes in the central ranges, which forced her to chase her opponents.
However, fourth place was more than enough to win the Cup.
"It is always a satisfaction to win a specialty World Cup - said Vittozzi -, I have achieved another great goal for this season and I am happy with this trophy, the third in the individual out of the four I have won. Next year I will concentrate on winning another one in another specialty. In this race I made one mistake too many, perhaps I wasn't completely concentrated on the shooting range, but I limited the damage on my skis well."
