"The character of Lolita thinks that work is central to her life and she identifies with it, but the public likes the world she moves in, how she feels free to experience the sentimental sphere in her own way. She put love next to itself, it is not central. Sometimes it has its curves, its falls, its surges", says Luisa Ranieri.

Sensual, ironic, cheerful, the deputy police commissioner who works in Bari has become the new heroine queen of Italian fiction ratings.

The most iconic of the detectives, not only for her outfits, but also for how she gets behind the wheel of her little white car at full speed - this year we will also see her jump with a parachute - returns to prime time on Rai1 from 4 March with the new season of the Investigations of Lolita Lobosco, directed this time by Renato De Maria.

Thus the adventures of the deputy commissioner who last year were able to glue 5 million spectators to the screen, with peaks of 6, and without counting the streaming on RaiPlay, return.

A return, therefore, highly anticipated and marked by a new entry in the cast who will make his way into the heart of the protagonist: Daniele Pecci in the role of Leon, a charming widower who will capture Lolita's attention.

"A very clear character - explains the actor during the presentation in Viale Mazzini - a widower with 3 teenage daughters, who recently arrived in Bari where he opened an art gallery".

"Lolita is determined, courageous, strong but dysfunctional in relationships. An independent, strong and fragile, ironic woman who does not give up her femininity, but who has her imperfections and this makes her feel close to other women", adds the Neapolitan actress.

"We are not born to be just mothers and wives, Lolita is contradictory; she expresses a woman's desire to have a romantic relationship. But this does not stop her from always throwing her heart beyond the obstacle".

"The challenge of this character is that she is a rough but also welcoming woman, firm in her roots but projected into the future, always looking for something new. She looks at men with distrust, while at women with solidarity. Marietta, her best friend who works as a PM, she is the point of reference, she is the most open person she knows."

The historical protagonists of the fiction have been confirmed, from Giovanni Ludeno to Jacopo Cullin, from mother Lobosco Lunetta Savino to her sister Giulia Fiume, up to her trusted friend Marietta played by Bianca Nappi.

For Luisa Ranieri, "Lolita was a gift. When my husband (Luca Zingaretti) made me read Gabriella Genisi's books I immediately found Lolita a character in my heart, not easy, a little risky to bring to life on the screen but then I loved it very much. I met her at a time when I had the right acting maturity, and I think we found a key to convey, through her, a message about the modern feminine. I am very grateful to this series which It brought me a lot of luck in my career."

Lolita Lobosco also made Luisa Ranieri overcome a certain resistance to working in television series: "In reality, I discovered that even as an actress, series work gives you the opportunity to delve deeper into the character and what's more it's a great training ground and you can learn a lot, like the long theater tours of the past".

Lolita Lobosco, the actress says that she has two daughters with her husband Luca Zingaretti, she resembles her in her passion for shoes but also in a certain melancholy that she sometimes shows.

This year too the deputy commissioner will be busy solving intricate cases.

The investigations of Lolita Lobosco is produced by Angelo Barbagallo for Bibi Film Tv and by Luca Zingaretti for Zocotoco, in collaboration with Rai Fiction and with the contribution of the Puglia Region and the Apulia Film Commission.
