With just five minutes of preparation time, you can conjure up a hearty pasta dish that the whole family will love.
Put all the ingredients in a mold and put it in the oven – done.
Simple, quick and delicious - that's the best way to describe this casserole with tortellini, vegetables and cheese sauce.
The recipe comes from Simply Tasty editor Sandra, who remembers her childhood with it.
Back then, Mom often had tortellini with broccoli and cheese sauce – an absolute favorite dish!
With the casserole, Sandra is now bringing this classic into the present and conjuring it up on the table in an uncomplicated version.
No more many pots and long washing up!
In this recipe, all the ingredients go directly into a baking dish.
This saves time and washing up – the perfect dish for stressful weekdays or cozy (celebration) evenings with the family.
Instead of broccoli, Sandra uses frozen imperial vegetables.
This is just as tasty, but even more practical and quick to prepare.
The colorful mix of carrots, cauliflower and of course broccoli provides additional vitamins and a crunchy bite.
The vegetables are coated with a generous portion of processed cheese, which together with cooking cream forms the sauce.
Grated cheese should not be missing on top at the end.
Everything together creates a wonderfully creamy and cheesy consistency that everyone is guaranteed to enjoy.
For the uncomplicated pasta casserole with creamy cheese sauce you only need a few ingredients:
The special thing about the recipe for a tortellini vegetable casserole: All the ingredients go into a casserole dish and are baked in the oven.
This saves time and washing up.

500 g tortellini (refrigerated)
200 g processed cheese
250 ml cooking cream
Salt pepper
lemon juice
400 g frozen imperial vegetables
100 g grated cheese
The fact that cheese and different types of cabbage are made for each other is demonstrated by other simple dishes such as a potato and broccoli casserole, the hearty lasagna with ham and broccoli or the stuffed cauliflower with minced meat and cheese sauce.
Match made in heaven

This goes well with a green salad with a homemade dressing, like from the restaurant.
Simple Tasty Tip:
If you like, you can refine the casserole with additional ingredients.
For example, fresh herbs such as chervil or parsley go well with it, and can also find their way into the casserole dish in the form of herb-processed cheese.
Vegetarians use a tortellini version without meat filling.

Sandra is convinced that the special something in many recipes is not a pinch of love, but a good portion of processed cheese.
In addition to the quick tortellini casserole, the best proof comes from a pizza soup with minced meat, which not only delights larger groups at parties, and the creamy rice casserole with ham.
