"If one finds a good mayor or governor he should be free to re-choose him or send him home, it is the citizens who decide."
This was stated by the leader of the League Matteo Salvini, who is visiting a construction site in Lecco as minister.
"For me - he explains - the same applies to parliamentarians: there is no limit, some have been doing it for 40 years and people vote for them".
"If we are the only ones who think like this and all the other parties are against it, I take note - he clarifies - but it would be a limitation of choice and democracy for citizens and it's not like I don't fall asleep at night thinking about the third term".
