WhatsApp recently introduced a new feature that will soon allow the service to be used without a phone number.
Now an existing function is to be made significantly more user-friendly – search.
In the future, this should make it possible to search for specific chats more specifically

, the function aims to make it easier to search for messages within the chat.
Accordingly, the function has already been hinted at in the past few weeks and has now been made official for internal searches on Android.
Endless scrolling to find messages on WhatsApp could be a thing of the past with a new feature.

Anyone who has already had to dig through their own chat chaos - for example to find an address sent to them, a very special message from a past love or a special photo - knows how much time and nerves this search can cost.
However, that is about to change now.
The new feature allows you to search messages by date.
It is already possible to search for individual messages, but so far only using keywords.
The new function for WhatsApp was already in development last year
Back in October last year, the blog WABetaInfo
reported
on Meta's plans to introduce a new function to search for news by date.
At this point, the feature was still in development.
Over four months later, the function is now said to be fully developed - and endless scrolling could soon be a thing of the past.
A recent change to WhatsApp for Android users is likely to be less pleasing: a service will be chargeable for them.
The new filter option is another step from Meta towards an even more user-friendly WhatsApp.
The Internet company is also trying to eliminate previous security gaps by blocking certain functions.
Recently, however, Meta came under massive criticism because the company is said to be illegally using personal data.
Consumer advocates have even filed a lawsuit.
