The interim director of the Al-Awda hospital in Jabalia, Mohammed Salha, says that around 80% of those injured in the massacre while queuing for humanitarian aid in Gaza brought to his health facility had gunshot wounds.
The Arab broadcaster Al Jazeera reports it.
Of the 176 wounded taken to al-Awda hospital, 142 had gunshot wounds while the other 34 showed wounds due to a hasty escape, Salha said, specifying that he could not provide information on the cause of death of the victims of the incident because their bodies were transported in other structures.
Previously, the spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary General Stephane Dujarric had also said that during a visit to al-Shifa hospital a UN team "was able to confirm that many of the people being treated there", victims of Thursday's attack near Gaza, "had injuries from a firearm".
Hamas says at least 115 Palestinians died and 760 others were injured when the Israeli army opened fire on a crowd of people gathered around a humanitarian aid convoy.
Israel claims that dozens of people "were killed and injured" in the crush or "run over by trucks".
