Great American directors with Italy in their hearts: there will also be Paul Feig (the director of Bridesmaids who will shoot 'Un Piccolo Favore 2' in Rome and Capri) and Catherine Hardwicke together with Edoardo De Angelis at the 19th edition of "Los Angeles Italia-Film, Fashion and Art Festival" which opens tomorrow at the Chinese theater in Hollywood, scheduled until Saturday 9 March, on the eve of the Oscars on Sunday 10th with Matteo Garrone in the running for 'I Captain' among the international films, present at the opening night.


    The great celebration of Italian cinema, also dedicated to Marcello Mastroianni in the centenary year of his birth (the first ever screening in Hollywood will be Fellini's Otto%), is promoted with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Intesa Sanpaolo and includes 112 twelve titles (47 in theaters and 65 available on the Eventive.org platform).

Numerous Oscar winners will come to pay homage to Italian excellence, from Richard Dreyfuss (the "LA, Italia Legend Award"), to Mira Sorvino (among the protagonists of the film "The Goat" by Ilaria Borrelli), and even the composer Diane Warren ( in the running for the fifteenth time with the song "The Fire Inside" written for the film "Flamin' Hot"), to the screenwriters Barry Morrow (Rain Man) and Nick Vallelonga (Green Book).


    The retrospective dedicated to De Angelis, in sight of the US release of his "Comandante", also includes "Mozzarella Stories", "Perez", "Indivisible", "The Vice of Hope" and will be opened by 'Saturday, Sunday and Monday' based on Eduardo's famous comedy, followed by also 'Non ti pago' and a special tribute on stage starring Lina Sastre.


    And it will be Franco Nero, co-founder of the Festival (created with the contribution of Ilbe, Riflessi, Wwps TV and Givova) who will welcome the guests of the event chaired this year by the producer Raffaella de Laurentiis and the director Michele Danner, godmother the Marche actress Emanuela Postacchini, fresh from the set of the US director, Dito Montiel.
