The massacre in Rafah

The acting director of al-Awda hospital in Jabalia, Mohammed Salha, says that around 80% of those wounded in the massacre during the humanitarian aid line in Gaza brought to his health facility had gunshot wounds.

The Arab broadcaster Al Jazeera reports it.

Of the 176 wounded taken to al-Awda hospital, 142 had gunshot wounds while the other 34 showed wounds due to a hasty escape, Salha said, specifying that he could not provide information on the cause of death of the victims of the incident because the their bodies were transported to other facilities.

Previously, the spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary General Stephane Dujarric had also said that during a visit to al-Shifa hospital a UN team "was able to confirm that many of the people being treated there", victims of Thursday's attack near Gaza , "they had gunshot wounds."

The Hamas-run Palestinian Ministry of Health says three more bodies have been found related to the massacre that occurred during the rush for humanitarian aid near the city of Gaza, bringing

the total number of victims of the incident to 115.

Around 760 people were injured.

The negotiations

Egyptian security sources announce to Al Arabiya that tomorrow, Sunday, negotiations for the ceasefire in Gaza and the exchange of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners will resume in Cairo.

"There is talk of a long truce in Gaza and an exchange - says the source - but to reach an agreement it is necessary to establish Israel's withdrawal from northern Gaza and the return of the displaced people"
