" Pardon !
Pardon !
» “Don’t push!”
» “Let it come down, please!”
» There's a jostling crowd at the RER entrance.
Passengers who want to get on the train collide with those who want to get out.
It takes a few seconds for everyone to slip through.
Gare de Lyon, in Paris, December 2, 2023, the train has not left when, already, we have to start again: the fifty travelers, half inside and the other outside, exchange again their place.
Because this crowd is an experiment, carried out with the help of the SNCF, on crowd behavior.
A camera films the movement of passengers, volunteers equipped with red or blue vests.
“The unspoken rule in transportation is to let go down before you go up.
Here we test the impact of the disruptors, by designating, each time, one or more passengers who must be undisciplined,” indicates Mehdi Moussaïd, untamed curly hair and big glasses, who times each entry and exit of the RER with his smartphone.
