In addition to his numerous works with the flagship metal group Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson, 65, has since 1990 forged a more intimate and, above all, much more musically varied solo career than what he does with his main employer.
Seven studio albums and two live albums, but nothing since 2005. Until “The Mandrake Project”, in stores since Friday March 1, whose first track, “Afterglow of Ragnarok”, is also the subject of a comic strip, extracts of which can be found in the video clip.
Quite successful, the singer's latest opus offers some surprising passages, such as a spaghetti western intro on "Resurrection Men", or the rereading of a Maiden track, "If Eternity Should Fail" (from the 2015 album " The Book Of Souls"), renamed "Eternity Has Failed", and more in line with the original vision of the artist, whom we recently met.
