Fiorentina continues to prepare for the away match against Torino on Saturday evening: compared to the match won on Sunday against Lazio, Vincenzo Italiano has not recovered either Martinez Quarta or Christian Kouamé.
The Argentine defender is still in hospital after the renal colic which forced him to miss last Sunday's match against Lazio while the Ivorian winger is awaiting further checks after the malaria he contracted on his return from the Africa Cup of Nations: in all likelihood it should be available again next week.
The Viola coach will decide in these hours whether to call up Dodò for Turin: the Brazilian has been missing since the end of September when he broke his cruciate in the opening minutes of the match against Udinese.
In recent weeks he has returned to training with his teammates in view of his return, which will however be gradual.
The same goes for Castrovilli, who has also been absent for some time after a new knee operation.
Italiano certainly needs all his players for the final sprint: from now until the beginning of April, Fiorentina will have to face an authentic tour de force that will see them take on Torino (Saturday), then Roma and Milan at home and Atalanta and Juventus out, in the middle the Conference round of 16 with Maccabi Haifa (first round next Thursday on the neutral stage in Budapest, return the following week at Franchi) and the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final in Florence against Atalanta.
Matches that will decide the Viola's season, in the meantime regenerated by the important comeback success achieved last Sunday against Lazio despite four posts hit and a penalty missed by specialist Nico Gonzalez.
