300g onions
500 g minced meat, mixed (or a vegetarian/vegan alternative)
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp neutral cooking oil
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 teaspoon paprika powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp marjoram
500 ml meat broth
1 tsp mustard (optional)
The preparation is uncomplicated:
Peel the onions and finely dice them.
Heat butter and oil in a deep pan and sauté onions until they turn light brown.
Add the minced meat and fry until crumbly.
Add tomato paste, paprika powder, salt, pepper and marjoram and sauté briefly.
Deglaze with meat broth and bring everything to the boil.
Reduce heat and simmer the hash for 30 minutes until the sauce is thick.
Season with a little mustard if desired and serve with a side dish of your choice, such as pasta.
