They transported and deposited in an uncontrolled manner large quantities of urban and special waste deriving from the commercial activities of the fruit and vegetable market, disposing of it by setting it on fire in the areas near the market itself.
For this reason, the Carabinieri of the Reggio Calabria Company arrested two people, Francesco Ficara and Luigi Festa, aged 35 and 20 respectively, on charges of criminal association aimed at the illicit trafficking of waste and the burning of waste.
Toxic fires which, according to investigators, would have caused damage to the integrity of the environment and a danger to health.
