 At least one person has died and seven others have been injured in a Russian drone strike that hit the southern Ukrainian city of Odessa tonight.

This was announced by the local authorities, quoted by the Kiev media.

Governor Oleh Kiper says that among the injured there is also a three-year-old child, hospitalized with leg injuries.

The attack occurred around 00:40 local time.

The rescue operations are still underway, specify the Odessa authorities.

Damage was reported to several buildings in the city. 


Russian drones over Kharkiv region, one dead in Kupiansk

A 76-year-old man died in a Russian drone attack that hit his home tonight in the Kupiansk district of the northeastern Ukrainian region of Kharkiv.

This was reported by local authorities, quoted by the Kiev media.

A few hours earlier, a drone attack had been announced on the city of Kharkiv, the capital of the region of the same name: four cars were destroyed and the windows of at least ten residential buildings were damaged but no victims were reported, according to governor Oleh Syniehubov.

North Korea stops sending weapons to Russia by sea

North Korea may have blocked the shipment of ammunition to Russia by sea, according to the online newspaper NK News.

The operation was reportedly suspended due to production disruption in North Korea or other logistical issues.

The Seoul-based media outlet notes that no ships loaded with ammunition have appeared in Russian ports in recent weeks.

According to the portal, the four ships Angara, Maia-1, Maria and Lady R have so far transported ammunition to Russia, completing at least 32 trips.

The last visit of the Maia-1 to the North Korean port of Rason took place on 12 February, that of the Lady R on 4 February.
