For a good part of the first half Bayern-Lazio was a balanced match, even if the hosts held the initiative more often, as was to be expected having to recover the 1-0 from the first leg.

Then, taking the lead through Henry Kane - quite by chance - and doubling the lead through Thomas Mueller in injury time, Tuchel's team ended up prevailing with a 3-0 that goes beyond its merits, obtaining passage to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Not before, however, having granted Immobile (37') a scoring opportunity which, if exploited, could have created many problems for this mentally fragile Bayern.

Now -10 from the top of the Bundesliga, eliminated in the German Cup, the Bavarians can only count on this match to save what remains of the season.

But also for Lazio it is a fundamental appointment and the Biancocelesti's departure is without fear, as Mister Sarri requested.

Don't let the weight of the Bavarian attack crush you and try to take advantage of the defensive gaps the home team suffers from.

In the 14th minute Provedel's first save, on Musiala's right.

Kane also shoots, another shot deflected for a corner.

As the minutes passed, Bayern's pressure increased, while Sarri made his way to encourage his team to gain meters.

But the Biancoceleste midfield, starting with Luis Alberto, is often forced to drop down to help the surrounded defence.

Lazio, despite suffering, has their chance to get through.

On Zaccagni's cross, De Ligt heads the ball to Immobile who, in a regular position, also manages to deflect it, but just wide.

And a minute later it was Bayern who equalised, through Kane, the goal conceded at the Olimpico.

The number 9 does well to pounce on Guerreiro's involuntary assist (missed shot) to head Provedel from a few steps away.

Lazio waits for the break to organize a reaction, but in the 2nd minute of added time the score is 2-0.

The sloping ball from a corner is kicked hard towards the six yard box by De Ligt.

Mueller puts his head three meters from the goal and Bayern goes to the break with qualification in their pocket, despite not having shone.

But the double lead doesn't completely reassure Bayern.

A Lazio goal would reopen the door to extra time and Tuchel's men began to besiege the opponent's area again in the second half.

Sarri decides on a triple substitution: in Cataldi, Isaksen and Castellanos;

outside Vecino, Zaccagni and Immobile.

Lazio tries to outline a response, until the 3-0 arrives in the 21st minute, extinguishing the Biancocelesti's remaining hopes.

Sané's descent and shot, Provedel manages to deflect, but right into Kane's feet who he can't miss.

Bayern also came close to scoring the fourth goal with Mueller, a shot deflected by Provedel onto the post, but it would be too much.

With a quarter of an hour to go, a very tired Felipe Anderson leaves and Pedro enters.

Paris Saint Germain has qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

In the second leg of the round of 16 in San Sebastian the French team beat Real Sociedad 2-1.

PSG had won 2-0 in the first leg.

The goals: Mbappè in the 15th minute of the first half and in the 11th minute of the second half.

In the final, in the 44th minute Merino scored for Real Sociedad.
